.Melbourne International Arts Festival.

Melbourne's International Arts Festival is a 17day event that celebrates Melbourne's passion for the Arts.

Was killing time the other day and the weather was great outside so along with the two boys, I decided to head out and enjoy the weather.... With a content walkabout the city, the boys and I came across the opening ceremony of Melbourne International Arts Festival in Fed Square.

The square was quite packed as people made themselves comfortable, sitting on the floor all over the place, basking in the sun whilst waiting for the ceremony to begin. Unfortunately we didn't stay long enough for the ending of the ceremony.... we waited until the opening concert began.

They were giving out free energy drinks for promotion

I could tell it was quite a festive event.... with sights of guitarists, drummers and various musical artists walking about federation square. There was even some high-profile persons about... such as the Mayor of Melbourne and many prominent government officials. I was quite surprised that they weren't surrounded with heavy security, i suppose it goes to show how safe Melbourne is!

Played around with some of the photos in Lightroom, as you can tell later on when you view some of them... Enjoy the photos.
