3 is the G!

Yup yup yup, not much updates here lately. Haven't had the opportunity to do so and besides, with such crappy internet accessibility at the apartment, I had no other choice but to go out and buy myself a mobile broadband connection with 3 - no regrets, for sure! Although I have to say, the services here tend to be quite on the pricey side: currently I'm paying $50 a month for 4 gb.

Nothing much to be said at the moment.... except that I'm FINALLY watching the movie Twilight... Uh, yeah... hahaha... yes, several months after its release in the theatre and much to the non-stop bickering of Mr. Rockband... I finally gave into the whims and am watching... well, more like partially watching Twilight.

What do I think of it? Hahaha... Let's just say its not my cup of tea: both characters seem to annoy the heck out of me and the only thing I liked about it was the suspense from the action (which only took part in less than a third of the movie, pffffffttttt!) I guess the reason as to why the movie is such a big hit amongst the girls is because of their underlying desire to be sweft off their feet like someone like edward.... I don't know... not my kind of thing I have to say. If my boyfriend were to ever say something like what Edward would say to Bella... i'd end up rolling on the floor, dying from laughter... hahaha...

Oh... just a quick note: I've created an online photo album for BssMelb to post up their photos. It's located in Photobucket, under BssMelb. I think from now on, any future photos of BssMelb events will be posted up there. In it, I've just uploaded 3 of the past BssMelb events (click on link to view photos). Enjoy!

BssMelb at the Park

These photos were from the last BssMelb event - it was one of many events (more to come...) which took place in Flagstaff Gardens last Saturday. It was organised by two of the committee members, which started at 9 am and lasted well over 2 hours. There weren't many people who attended the event - mainly just the committee members who brought along one or two of their friends.

Weather was lovely albeit a little cold, nevertheless, I attempted to make my way around the block which I'm proud to say that I've managed 4 rounds (2 in the park and 2 outside around the park in an alternate fast-slow pace)... I have to say I wouldn't have able to do it without the persistence of Mr Rockband. Thanks, I wouldn't have done it without you!

Dear god, I hadn't realised how inactive of a group we were up until well after the walk/jog was done because just as soon as we arrived at home - everyone was K.O. for pretty much the rest of the afternoon!! A pity though... we could've managed a lot of activities in for the day but I think we were too tired to even think by then. He he he...

Melbourne International Car Show

I was fortunate enough to catch the Melbourne International Auto Show earlier in the month... a few days before it closed for the year, I think. A bit disappointed though, because in comparison to Toronto's International Auto Festival, this was quite minor - majority of the auto industries weren't there to showcase their stuff, even the always-expected Mercedes Benz and GMCs weren't there... quite the bummer, since I really wanted to check out what the GMC Yukon had to offer.

Nonetheless, it did not mean there were no sexy cars there.... like the eye-catching Volkswagen R-50 Toureg and Bentley luxury range...I wouldn't mind giving those hot wheels for a wild spin sometime...

Mischevious in Ballarat

Dad was in town and we organised a little trip to visit the Sovereign Hills in Ballarat, one of Australia's gold mining towns. It was a fun full day trip with much to see and do - my only regret was that we didn't get to fully explore the place in time. It's ok... mom's coming to town soon, so it's another excuse to go back! hehe...

As you can tell from the photos, the group proved to be quite mischevious...

The Long Awaited Update

Flight back to Melbourne...

Finally... the new post has arrived. It's been nearly one whole month since the last update with many things to blame for the lack of activity in this blog: partly the new computer and the much awaited installation of Adobe CS4... there was also the issue of the shitty internet access in the apartment (despite paying $60 a month for it.... pffftt!!) and the flurry of activities that have taken place between my last blog post and today.

So... I've been back for 5 weeks and life in Melbourne still is as frantic and lively as it previously had been... 3 weeks into the school calendar with plenty of readings and assignments pouring in... also... still trying to keep my head together with "leading" the BssMelb committee...

As for my personal life... things can't get any better, 2009 so far is proving to be a year with plenty of good tidings (not that i'm saying bad things haven't happened so far)... I'm just going to take things one at a time... Try to do and say less bad things and change my perspective.... we'll see how this works...

I'm going to be uploading some latest photos soon... Maybe i'll be doing that later on this week, when I have more time to play around with the photoshop... hehe

Until next post....
I'll see you guys around and take care!
